Is your job killing you?

How many of us commute to work, sit for eight-plus hours at a desk, commute home, and then sit again to watch TV.

No matter how harmless these activities may seem, they do cause injuries that can develop over time. While these activities are not particularly hazardous for those who do them only occasionally, the situation becomes more critical for those who have no choice but to sit in front of a computer screen and type for long periods every working day, such as secretaries and call centres employees.

Because the human body was designed to move, it cannot tolerate immobility for long times. Sitting at a desk for long times is unhealthy and will affect the body negatively.
